OK, SO A 'BIT' OF SNOW . . . .

OK, so yesterday's 'bit' of snow was nice, pretty, christmassy and I can cope with  BUT this is taking it too far :

nearly 2ft of snow overnight

Winter Wonderland in the back garden

My sewing bench

'My driveway is there, somewhere?'

How beautiful you're all saying, how pretty, what fun for all the children?
NO!, the driveway has disappeared, we cannot open the garage and if we could the roads are so laden with snow the car would be useless, over 5,000 schools, most airports and all public transport are at a complete shutdown and to top it all our central heating packed up over night and no Engineers can get here until at least tomorrow!!!
Even Tilly, after being moved in to the house this week from her summer hutch, is begging to go back to the garage where it's probably warmer!
AND the forecast ~ more snow, I think Siberia would be warmer than here.

On the positive, snow makes the house so bright that cross-stitching is great, any excuse to make cookies is great, having everybody home safe and ? (I would say warm!) is great and Oh! I so don't want to admit it but it is sooooooooooooooooo pretty!

HAPPY STITCHING

I'll never forget the snowstorm we had like this back in February. Inconvenient for everyone, but, oh, so beautiful. Enjoy your stitching and cookie baking time today :)

Wow, now that is snow! It's so pretty but I know just how it can bring everything to a standstill in the UK. I won't show you a picture of my backyard here in Canada where it is expected to snow and hasn't yet :) I hope everyone can stay warm and stay safe too.

We've had about an inch of snow here. Yours realy does look pretty though and so nice to be holed up in home stitching and baking cookies. Hope it soon goes and the engineers sort your heating out.

Oh those pictures are beautiful! But no central heating...that would be awful!! Hope its fixed soon!

Good grief are you getting clobbered! Our central heat went out last winter and that's definitely not a holiday. Hope that you get it fixed soon.

Hope your heat is back by now! How absolutely beautiful. I love how Mother Nature makes us slow down and enjoy our lives. Everybody is safe and eating cookies!

Yikes! Have you set up cots in the kitchen and left the oven on to get through the night or did you have space heaters at the ready? There's not much worse than trying to sleep when you're cold.

Oh wow! It is incredibly beautiful. We hardly ever get snow here. Hoping you all stay snuggly warm together. Tea and cookies sound perfect!

It looks so pretty but I can understand your frustration. We are supposed to get 3-5 inches of the white stuff tomorrow:)

Hope you get in some stitching time.

Your photographs are beautiful. I love the snow for a little while then I am ready for it to be gone. We are expecting our first snow accumulation overnight into tomorrow morning. They are forecasting 2-4 inches. I hope your heat is back on and you are stitching and warm :0)
