HOW~LO~WEEN . . .

Happy Thursday everyone!
It's Half-Term here and as normal the weather is pants!!!
DS's are busy revising German for a forthcoming test next week and DD is writing her personal statement for University applications so a little time for me and this was my quick and easy stitch for this week . . .

'How-lo-ween' freebie by Cherrywood Designs
stitched on 28count 'Shades of Autumn' evenweave with Mascara Weeks Dye Works

Pillow finish (no surprise there!) with Halloween Witch fabric, ric rac and bronze beads

I'm fully absorbed by a 5-book series by Virginia Andrews at the moment.
I read the first one ~ Flowers in the Attic ~ many years ago but never read the following four ~ I'm hooked and by sitting up to 1am last night have nearly finished book three.
The library are ordering them in for me as and when I'm ready for them and they've just rung to say book four is there ready and waiting so guess where I'm off to and who will be burning the midnight oil again tonight?

Thanks for stopping by
HAPPY STITCHING

Very cute stitching and pillow!
I read thoughs books years ago and my daughter just took them to read herself. I could not wait for the next one to come out when I was reading them.
Happy Stitching and reading

Love your pillow! And the fabric you chose to finish with is fab too!

I've read those books - some weird things happen to those 4 kids. And those older two....hmmm.

I read all the flowers in the attic way back when they were first coming out. Have a fun read with them.

Oh, how adorable, Jane!! I just love it... That witchy fabric is perfect with the stitching.

Never in my life have I heard the expression the weather is "pants." I assume that means bad? See what I learn from blogging :)

Hope you enjoy your reading as much as I'm enjoying your little Pumpkin Pie stitching here in my kitchen!! Enjoy your weekend...

I was on a V.C. Andrews kick too and read many of her series, they are all so strange, poor kids!

Wow your finish is gorgeous. There is nothing wrong with a pillow finish. Oh my flowers in the attic - I don't think I could sleep reading them again. Can't remember whether I read them all or not.

Love your finish Jane! Think I'll have to download that freebie. It's the first time I've seen it stitched and I love it.

Oh I loved those Virginia Andrews books! I read them rather quickly years ago as I just couldn't put them down.

Oh, Love this Halloween finish Jane and your finishing is so Beautiful... I LOVE the fabric you chose ~ so perfect for the design ~ I hope you are enjoying your VC Andrews reading ~ my DD used to read them all as soon as they came out... she doesn't have as much time for reading now with the wee one ~ I think she has been reading Nicholas Spearksof late, when she has the time... Blessings always in stitches...
