WINTER PILLOW AND A NEW START

I have to start this post with yet another very big thank you to my lovely blogging friends who left me messages of good wishes and support on my recent 24 hours of blood pressure excitement, delights, TORTURE!  I am so pleased to report that although the night was certainly one to remember! the results were good and have put my mind at rest ~ the thought that now I have to endure this 24hr agony once every 12 months does not appeal too much but it's so worth it when the results can be downloaded the very next day and told to me immediately!

Stitchy news ~ a small finish with a few hiccups along the way . . .

I ordered this Pine Mountain kit in an on-line Sale recently and thought it was really cute but when it arrived the stitching fabric was completely different?  The material described on the front picture description is not what is shown in the photograph ~ naughty Pine Mountain!  As it is already pre-sewn and I did not have anything that remotely resembled what the picture showed, I stuck with it but a couple of the threads supplied just didn't show up so I have had to change the colour choices . . .

I contacted Pine Mountain and have to say they have been really fast in their response telling me that the fabric shown is no longer available so it has been substituted with another and for my disappointment they have let me choose another kit which they will send on to me at no cost.  I am disappointed that it hasn't turned out as I hoped but I cannot fault Pine Mountain for their fantastic response!

It does look pretty doesn't it ~ it reminds me of a hand-wrapped candy waiting to be opened!

I wonder if any of you know what this next project is?

I'm wondering if I say it's stitched with silk threads 1 over 2 on Cranberry Bog 32-count linen whether it will give it away but this designer is a first for me and I'm loving it!

Only problem is ~ this little rascal is shedding fur at the moment and boy! do they show up on red linen!

Thanks for stopping by
HAPPY STITCHING

Oooh what a shame the fabric was different but it is a gorgeous finish! I love it.

No idea what your new start is but it looks good. I love that linen. What a fantastic name.

Aww poor bunny moulting! What a cute photo!

Very nice finish, despite the different fabric. I'm glad the company had such great customer service, it can be so lacking today.

No clue what your new start is, but I love the Cranberry Bog linen.

Lovely PM design! They are really a bit naughty, but on the other hand, they are generous, too! To send another kit at no costs! And I must say that I love your choice of colors more than the ones shown on the pic! :o)

Oh Oscar you are a one! You have feet like Thumper in Bambi. He is gorgeous Jane, Tilly next please!
Love the PM original design fabric like you Jane ,but you have done a great job with the substitute they sent. Super service too nice to have a HOORAY instead of a BOO.
Not a clue on the new one but like the look of the fabric ,you are so brave using the bold colour.
Look forward to seeing some more of that next time or maybe even a finish.
Hugs to all

I think your finish is gorgeous. The fabric matches the mittens on the printed fabric. I'm glad Pine Mountain are sorting things out for you. Don't know what your new start is but could it be a bunny???? Oscar is gorgeous.

I personally like the version you stitched up. This version looks more bright & cheerful.

It is good to that Pine Mountain is so caring about their customers.

I don't know the pattern??? The fabric color is nice along with the name.

ohhh what a cute bunny!

I think your pillow is gorgeous! Pine Mountain did a good thing for you too. I have no idea what your new project is but the linen is lovely.

LOL Oscar doesn't look too happy about posing for that picture.

I think it looks very nice on that fabric, but it was very nice of Pine Mountain to offer to send you another kit, Jane. How cute Oscar is--I just love him :)

I like it on the lighter colored fabric, it still looks wonderful. It's nice of them to offer you another kit too.

Too bad the fabric didn't match but it's fantastic that they offered another kit. This finish is too cute!
Love the pic of Oscar. I can just imagine how much fur they deposit. Our cat has been shedding his summer coat and I'm finding white fur on everything. And that's only one!

Well doesn't that just melt your ice cream! I wouldn't have been happy either >:o( That was VERY nice of them though to send you another kit free! I still like the finished piece but can see what you're saying about the change in fabric color.
