WITH OR WITHOUT? . . .

Just a quickie . . .
My intentions of building the final snowman of 'Deck the Halls' just didn't happen this weekend and after picking it up this afternoon I've decided I'm not sure if I like the backstitching or not around 'Fa' and 'La'!
So I've unpicked 'Fa' and left 'La' so you can tell me what you think, I just feel the snowman should look soft against the fabric and not have a harsh line around them, perhaps I'm just going la-la!!!

Other insignifant news . . .  I set fire to my oven Friday night and although repairable the part will not be with us until end of this week ~ good job we have a microwave and I've failed my blood pressure test yet again and now have to be fitted with a 24hour monitor to find out what's going on ~ I did tell the doctor about the oven and the indecision on building snowmen but looks like the diabetes is the culprit - dam diabetes!

Thanks for stopping by
HAPPY STITCHING

Oh my. You have lots of stuff going on - none of it sounding too good. Here is hoping that your week gets better and that by the end of the week life is back to normal.

I can see what you mean about the backstitching. I think it looks great without, but I might be a bit biased because I hate backstitching. Take care.

Gorgeous stitching.
Sorry to hear of the oven disaster and worse the BP issues you are suffering - hope things improve soon.
Personally I prefer the snowman without the backstitching.

Hope your feeling better soon hun; I love this design and have to order it... I'm on the fence with the backstitching; I like it both ways but prob have to say I like the backstitching; it makes him stand out a little more..

I like both the snowmen but the back stitch does stand him out a little more sorry about the cooker.

I, too, think Fa is clearly defined and does not need the additional outline.

Good health to you.

I like the backstitching but I've already stitched one of these guys ;o)

Gee, you're an accident waiting to happen! Take it easy and take good care of yourself.

I prefer the backstitching because the floss colors are so close to the fabric shade that it helps the snowmen stand out. Maybe you could try a shade lighter for the BSing?

Take care of yourself. High blood pressure and diabetes are both things that should be ignored, and you're combining the two!

ohhhh dear ... your not safe to be let out are you .... and mmmmmm like it both ways but agree it is softer with out the back stitch :) and didn't know diabetes could cause high BP ????? love mouse xxxx

Oh, what a mistake! Diabetes and high blood pressure definitely should NOT be ignored. Sorry!

I like the both but I prefer the backstitched one even though I abhor backstitching. Take care of yourself - that oven ordeal sounds scary as does the high blood pressure AND the diabetes.

Oh no!! I'm glad to hear nothing burned down. I hope things get sorted out with your blood pressure and all is well. Do take care of yourself and try not to set anymore fires!!

As for the ADORABLE snowmen....I could take them either way. I really like the backstitching, but I also kind of like it without. Maybe make one of your bunnies decide with a wiggle of their nose.

Oh my goodness! So much going on!! I love the snowmen - both ways look good. If you are worried about the backstitching, perhaps a lighter shade would work, as I do think the backstitching makes it stand out more.

Wishing you the best with your health issues....scary stuff...

You have way too much going on there! No wonder your blood pressure is high! Hope everything is resolved soon.
As much as I detest backstitching I think I prefer it on this piece. It helps the snowman stand out some from the fabric.
Good luck with your decision.

Your stitching looks gorgeous and I like it both ways so I guess it will be what you like.
i know what you mean about diebetes. they say I have the start of it. I don't have to take meds for it just watch what I eat and monitor it. I also have high blood pressure that I do take meds for.
take care and happy stitching

I think I'm erring on the side of liking the backstitching but it's whatever you like best. If you're not fussed on the backstitching and keep it in you likely will always dislike it. What about stitching the 3rd snowman and then deciding?

Sorry to hear about all your woes. You are having a time of it lately. Look after yourself.

So sorry to hear about your BP problems, Jane--I do hope you and your doctors can solve the problem. Take extra good care of yourself...

I love this piece, but think I prefer it with the backstitching, too. I know more work for you :( But, either way it is just a sweet stitch that makes me smile :)

Oh gosh Jane I do hope things improve for you soon. Sounds like you had an awful lot going on. {{{{hugs}}}

Hmmm I can't make up my mind about the backstitching as I like it with and without! I'm not very helpful am I?? Lol!

I'm sorry I'm on the fence on this one. I like both snowmen but HATE backstitching. Hope you feel better soon. Look after yourself BP and diabetes is not a good combination and I speak from experience.
