A HERB WITH A DIFFERENCE . . .

Good afternoon everyone!

I have to start with another very big Thank You to those kind friends that left me further messages of support and good wishes for my two biopsy results ~ I am pleased to say that both are benign and my worst fears have been taken away, unfortunately I am still in pain and will now undergo MRI scans for further investigations.  I'm hoping the month of May will bring much brighter days for my family and I, certainly the first 4 months of 2012 have been horrible!

So, what have I been up to?  Well, my mood is still pretty low and I haven't picked my cross stitching up since my last post, I'm sure my mojo will return but I think, like me, for now it needs a short holiday to perk up again.  But I haven't been completely idle ~ the knitting needles have seen daylight instead and this is what several nights of clicking have to show . . .

'Basil' Bunny
knitted in Sirdar Eco DK Wool

complete with bob tail

felt pads for his feet

and a hoody to give him a bit of street credit !

A small heart button on his hoody and there he is . . . . cute!

and this 'Basil' will hopefully last a little longer than the potted ones outside ~ I wonder which two little furries would be the culprits of that???

Thanks for stopping by
HAPPY STITCHING

I'm so relieved to hear you received good biopsy results, Jane, but I'm sorry to hear the pain is still with you. No wonder you are a bit "down."
I do hope the remainder of the year brings better days...

Your bunny is so, so darling--I love his color and his little hoody--so sweet!!

Take care now...

I love
I sincerely wish you that May brings relief
even if the results are good (I'm happy to learn that) as soon as you have pain there's something somewhere that must be discovered :-/
be confident, sure you'll be better soon and the rest of the year will bring you brighter days
take care

Your results are very good news! Hopefully they will discover the source of the pain soon & you will start feeling better. Good luck with the MRI.
Basil is a real delight! I love his little bob tail & his hoody gives him great street cred! Well done ;0). Maybe he should stand guard over the basil pots!!!

Jane, I am so happy to hear your biopsy was benign but sorry you are still in pain. I do hope you get some relief soon and the rest of this year is better for you.

That is about the sweetest bunny I have ever seen. (Other than your two fluffy ones of course.) I just love how his little tail peeks out from underneath his hoodie.

Wonderful news on the biopsy results. I'm sorry to hear you are still in pain. I hope you are feeling better soon. I don't know if I have ever seen anything cuter than your Basil bunny. :)

I have it on good authority (Miss Sage Bunny, RIP) that rubbing bunny feet doesn't bring good luck, its the feeding of treats to bunnies that causes good things to happen. The ultimate in good karma and all that. So, obviously, all good things happen because of your bunnies and they deserve extra treats. (Phew. How was that guys? Think she'll buy it?)

Less silly-Lorna, I am very happy to hear the good news.. and sorry to hear about the pain. I know what a weight it can be. Hopefully it gets sorted out quick. (What, guys? Oh..) I hear craisins and blueberries bring quick answers. (Lets hope she doesn't ask my source!)

Now, about Basil.. do we have a pattern? I'm not that skilled a knitter, but I'd like to give him a go.. :)

Jane, what a time of it you've been having lately. I'm glad to hear the biopsy was able to put your mind at rest and I hope all goes with your MRI scan.

I have to tell you, Basil is just the cutest rabbit!!! His little bob tail just made me smile when I scrolled down to that picture and I love his little hoodie.

Take care.

This bunny is darling! You are so full of talent.
I am grateful to hear that you biopsy's went well, but I'm so sorry to read about your dad, and MIL. What a worry it must be for you. Enjoy your time with them, and pray that God can give you peace at this difficult time.
Hope you have a great weekend.

I have just found your blog. I too LOVE BUNNIES.
I have also been where you are medically, I am mainly a quilter, but in times of stress or exhaustion I turn to knitting. Reading your blog felt like a sameness.
I am in Southern California, a retired teacher.
Your knitted bunny basil is the cutest and his hoodie.

Is this a pattern on the open market, where I could purchase it. Take Care, Blessings, Brook
