HOME FOR CHRISTMAS . . .

Do you remember my disappointment with my last Pine Mountain Designs kit?
The fabric included in the kit was completely different from the one they had both pictured and advertised resulting in the threads having no impact whatsoever WELL this is the kit I chose as a goodwill gesture from Pine Mountain who responded very quickly and very kindly . . .

'Home for Christmas'

These sweet little kits stitch up so quickly so I'm pleased I can say it's finished and I can declare another Happy Dance for 2011 . . .

As I said before they always remind me of wrapped sweets waiting to be opened, the ribbons at the end are always so pretty once they're tied into bows
In case you were wondering ~ the holly around the pillow IS real and comes from our Holly Tree in the back garden, normally the berries come too early and it's just the leaves by Christmas but nature having a law of its own this is what we have this year . . .

Both the birds and the squirrels love this tree and it's just outside our bedroom window so dawn is pretty noisy round here!

I've had a good weekend getting all the Christmas bits & pieces done so feel a little more relaxed now!  I hope everyone else is up-to-date too and enjoying the countdown?

Thanks for stopping by
HAPPY STITCHING

Your holly tree is so beautiful! I never thought about where holly comes from - shame on me! You did a great job on your pillow.

That is the biggest holly tree, Jane!! We have a small holly bush here that is about 6 feet tall. It's so pretty this time of year...

Jane ... I am a new follower as of this morning. I found you via Sharlene's Stitching Site. Are you familiar with an old British sitcom by the name of The Good Life? If so, do you remember how Margo used to say "Thank you very much!" Well, that is what I'm saying to you this morning using the exact same voice inflection ... lol! I popped over here hoping to find an interesting stitching blog ... which I did ... but I also found your photo of the Pine Mountain pillow. I had to immediately go to my favorite online stitching shop & order it. Of course I found a few more PM pillow kits to order as well. If that's not bad enough, I then saw your post with the Shepherd's Bush Stockings kit. Went immediately to the SB site. Will call them & order that one when they open later today. Yes, I am pathetic ... lol! As you can see I also talk a lot : ) Blessings, Shirlee

Your finish is adorable! I love that holly tree, I've never seen one so large before. I'm used to only seeing small holly bushes. I'm glad nature cooperated this year and gave you some berries for the holiday season.
